It mindbroke its audience into addiction and refuse to look at a game they can't do the wow dailies grind in despite not actually enjoying the wow dailies grind. When wow players look at other mmos they think things like "is this actually worth my time?" or "will this game still be relevant in 10 years? Because I don't want to waste my time with it otherwise" despite getting no value or fun out of playing wow. If someone literally reskinned wow they'd say it's a terrible mmo and quit within the week to go back to wow. The genre almost died and probably should at this point because of them.

It only worked for Nostalrius, which was the best mmorpg experience of the 2010s. Thx to word of mouth Nost was full with real mmorpg players and not faggots.
