Sonybro can't even do his sales trolling right, the Wii was not big in Japan it got outsold by DS, Gameboy, 3DS, PS2, Switch, PSP, NES, PS1, SNES and GBA in that order.
You would have a point if you said remember how the "DS was very successful?" but what came after was still the 3rd best selling hardware ever in Japan.
And in terms of software? things like this 28/30 were pretty much myths, now they are common.

It's unlikely. Snoys really want to say that how they've treated Japan isn't that big a deal. Shit like the Maru Batsu change, the censorship, the lack of first party titles that even appeal to them. It all mattered and it always mattered and this is the end result. Where all the PS5 stock is sold to chinks and any Jap that does buy one finds out there's no games that appeal to them on the system.

The only game with a good chance to dethrone Pokemon next week is the Touken Ranbu(Sword boys that fujos lust over) musou. The only other possible one is Atelier Sophie 2 since Sophie's one of the most popular Ateliers in moon land. It'll be a battle between those two. Elden Ring will probably be mid range(5-8) and Horizon won't even matter.
