RoR2 is kinda meh.
DRG is one of the best games of the decade tho'.

>DRG is one of the best games of the decade tho
then why can't I stop dropping it? I just can't fucking do the same shit missions over and over

Like ebola, it's better with friends.

still waiting for them to properly finish RoR2

Is DRG technically a rougelike?

KEY WORD: pve

>then why can't I stop dropping it?
Because youre ADHD pleb.
t. Been playing nonstop since 2019.

No. It is a mission-based PVE coop shooter with random generated maps.

Fucking zoomers man

Death doesn't cause you to lose any progress except the exact mission you're on. And it still gives you pity EXP. No, it's definitely not even Rogue-lite.

Maps are too structured to be roguelike
Mining expedition
>medium sized caves connected by narrow passages
Point extraction
On-site refining
Egg hunt
>singe huge cave with short passages that look back to the main cave
Escort mission
>just mining expedition but several times larger in scale
etc

Weapons aren't even randomized for each mission

DRG is.
RoR2 is just alright.

More than the map structure, the fact there are no incremental upgrades you find in the middle of missions then lose on death is the bigger distinguisher. No +5 speed boots. No +3 vision range. No better guns sitting on a rock that you can't take with you.

>everyone loves drg
>mfw can't stand the art style

Deep Rock is a very fun game, but by God is overrated. It almost makes you feel insane or like you are missing something when you are doing the same mission for the 535345th time and still didn't see the "masterpiece" everybody claims it is.

If you don't have a favorite game that you always play regularly, you obviously not into vidya. Getting the value out of a game by playing for a long time is really based. You probably buy new Fifa games every year and play it for 10 hours then quit.

not sure about RoR2 but DRG is sexellent

ror2 is made by incompetent devs and I wonder how much better it would be if someone competent worked on it. they're literally releasing dlc despite still having bugs and balance issues that have been in the game since early access

It's not overrated at all. It's just really popular in Any Forums for some reason. I'd say it's not rated enough.

Proc gen doesn't a roguelike make.
There are a lot of parameters that games in the like and the pedantic ~lite~ whatever the fuck Berlinfags are trying to segregate by use.
But if replayability and modular setup are all it takes for (you) to think of a game as a roguewhatever, then sure. Just don't call it that or you'll get unkind glares.

DRG artstyle is really good and stylized. Not every game needs to be hyperrealistic or cartoony like Fortnite. Too many zoomers in this thread.

Making a big deal out of nothing. It's unique and stands out. For the record, at no point does it call itself "low poly." That's just retards describing it wrong.

UUUUUOOOOOHHHH

>almost 700 hours in RoR2 and still going up
>100 hours in DRG and already bored a little
both are good, but are completely different in how they are played, you can only choose one

i got bored of DRG playing solo gunner all the time like an autist but then i started switching classes and hopping from servers and i gotta say it's probably the most fun i've had on a coop game since L4D

>DRG
yes
>RoR2
fuck no

But it is low poly.

It's really fun with random lobbies. Half of the fun of the game comes from playing with other people

>playing ror2
>die in oneshit to one of the 20 projectiles coming from behind you that you can't even see that hones in incredibly accurately even if you dash away
great game

there are literally no roguelike elements
