3070 laptop
I'm fine.

>was planning on getting a 1440p monitor for ER
>my rig is 3700x and 5700xt
>1660ti is forced to 1080p and still can't hold constant 60fps even though he's well above recommended
What the fuck? Has he configured his shit wrong or something? This smells like bullshit.

>Ryzen 7 3700x
>RTX 2070 Super
>16 GB RAM

Should be fine. Buying it on Series X anyways.

>5600x
>3090
>16GB RAM
I got the 90 for VR, should be set for this especially with Fromsoft's stupid 60fps cap.

>50-60 fps at 1080 on a 1660
is this supposed to be bad?

>2070 super
>r5 3600
I'm honestly more worried about my CPU than anything. Should I look into a 5800X or something just to be safe if I want 1440p?

These threads are so obvious marketing stunts
Why is Any Forums falling for it. Why

I’ll be fine.

1070ti with a 3900x on a 1440p monitor
will probably need to lower graphical settings but should get around 50-60 fps and still have it looking nice
that's how it is for most games

zephyrus g14
ryzen 5800hs, 16gb of ram and 3060
should be dandy

The fact this game will filter poorfags makes me incredibly happy

My nigga, I have the same exact rig.

>Ryzen 5 1600 6-core
>GTX 1060 6GB
Am I gonna make it bros?

>stronger CPU than PS5
>stronger GPU than PS5
>less FPS than PS5
There has to be something he's doing wrong. Does he only have 8gb of Ram? Is his ram speed good or is it like 2800mhz with 18cl? Win10? DX12 installed? Proper driver installation? Someone should ask him to post a screenshot of his HWinfo. Getting the same issues in Lost Ark which is like some 4 year old Gookshit mmo makes it seem like it's something on his end and not Elden Ring. And I doubt a PC that is stronger than a PS5 would be running consistently worse than the PS5 did.

No one mentioned any of these problems during their reviews when they played over Parsec. And the tranny from Easy Allies specifically mentioned having input lag and even crashing due to Parsec, but didn't mention significant pop in or stutters or shit FPS.

There are two places that discuss videos that I will never trust and that is NeoGAF and ResetEra. So I'm skeptical.

Attached: hwinfo specs.jpg (1137x442, 210.97K)

I'll be fine.

Attached: ps5.png (1920x1080, 220.24K)

Why is his "TLDR" longer than what is supposedly too long that I didn't read it?

I don't think so...

Attached: GD.png (1352x393, 30.5K)

1070 and i5, am I screwed?

Considering the recommended specs are a 1070 (supposedly worse than the 1660ti) and the game runs at 55-60fps at 4K on a PS5, yeah it's pretty fucking bad. It seems very suspect.

>unoptimized spaghetti code is fine
Larping poorfag.

It's not even that old of a PC, I just skimped out on the RAM and I guess the rest just wasn't good enough to last a while. I'm gonna buy 16gb ram and hopefully get it ready within a week, the rest will just have to do

Attached: PCspecs.jpg (660x459, 43.96K)

Not suprising its first actual open world game from From using their engine so i expect it work not so well.

it's a more recent card than the minimum 1060. if he's struggling for 60 here, 1060 bros should expect 1080/30 or less.

3 words: PS5

>R9 Fury X 4GB
I'll be fine. It's not like I have anything other than a 1080p monitor.

we'll see

>less FPS than PS5
PS5 can't keep a stable 60fps in "performance" mode either.
This is going to be another bloodborne situation where Sony pushed them to integrate a bunch of new tech to show off how much the PS5 could handle, and exceeded what the PS5 could handle.

His stuttering issue is probably related to motion blur. Their previous titles had similar issues with blur causing stuttering on PC even when you had ample resources to spare, and it's a fucking ugly filter anyways.

He's also on High settings and "minimum specs" usually means running on Low.

i dont want it. its just gonna be flavor of the month

>i want this game to have the smallest playerbase possible
why do you have FROM so much? oh, because you're a gacha whale. got it

>Not even stable 60 fps on PS5
No fucking way PS4 keeps stable 30 fps
This is not Cyberpunk tier but this really needed 3-5 months of optimization in general

Attached: 1636364608887.gif (192x192, 1.3M)

The game doesn't have a real form of player filtering, so eliminating poorfags, children and 3rdies will dramatically improve the average multiplayer experience. I'll gladly wait a minute or 2 longer if it means I don't have to deal with some half-evolved reprobate with 500 ping and a memory injector hotkeyed.

>tfw 2070

Attached: moneypikachu.jpg (500x375, 21.18K)

cope mayomonkey i will still invade your ass

Better than I expected with that shitty card

PS5 never dipped below 55 though and PS5 was playing at 4k, not 1080p.

Fortunately, the "ray-tracing" patch promised basically guarantees there will be extensive post-launch optimization work.

no you won't because your PC will crash every time you try to load the game KEK

Are you implying that poor optimization is the equivalent of a normally highly demanding game and that won't affect high performance rigs?
lol
lmao I even dare saying

Feeling comfy anons.

I hope so

>tfw 1660 ti fag
Fucking kill me holy shit

I don't trust resetera niggers, how did he get the game before anyone else?

What if they are doing this so you can play the game with the peasants?

What's confusing is the i7 recommendation. Do newer video games even take advantage of hyperthreading yet?

Attached: 2345678.png (670x505, 27.15K)

I'm saying I have a powerful enough rig to play it at 60fps, high settings, 1440p.

>Have to use TrannyEra to get concrete pre-release info

My 3070 ti will be just fine for 4k 60fps. Game has shit graphics anyways.

Yeah this and the fact that the specs they released specifically mention them being "for launch." Implying that it's subject to change later on.

This is probably the main reason for the delay and then Fromsoft probably realized people would riot in the streets and flame them like CDPR for CP2077 if they delayed again. So they got it in a playable state they were satisfied with and will begin working on making it better.

I hope to god, and my system should be able to run it well.

But now I'm not so sure whether I want to upgrade to a 1440p monitor or if I want to get a 1080 with 240hz instead.

Do you guys think my potato can handle it? I'm hoping for at least 1080p 30fps but I'll turn it down to 720p if I have to...

Attached: file.png (1141x466, 93.88K)

That's neogaf you stupid fucking newfag. Go back.

>Do newer video games even take advantage of hyperthreading yet?
You don't "take advantage" of hyperthreading, it appears to the game/OS as if there are more CPU cores than there really are. Anything that can take advantage of more cores will also benefit from hyperthreading

The i7 is recommended because it can both run at a significantly higher frequency than the i5 8400, but also because it can run at the redline indefinitely since it's unlocked. After 56 seconds of boost the i5 8400 fizzles out and drops down to less than 3GHz for a significant amount of time before it's allowed to boost again

Those requirements are WAY too high for this game.

I'm saying that the people I won't like won't even be able to run it while I'll just turn off the settings that cause performance issues on my modern rig and enjoy it just fine whether it looks like ass or not

>i5-3570k
>1050ti
>DDR3 1600MHz 16gb ram
Oh no....

Attached: 1629305509505.gif (497x302, 3.01M)

Absolutely fucked. Looks like I'm pulling out the old half adaptive vsync. Either that or play on PS4 which will be the same shit.

Attached: vsync.jpg (970x69, 16.12K)

I think I should be okay?

Attached: 5286992866222.png (841x862, 67.04K)

I will never understand the cores thing. Almost every single game I have ever played, ever since I got a CPU with a bunch of cores and hyperthreading, only uses 1 fucking core. I go into my task manager and see that only 1 of my cores is being utilized by the game and sometimes the game even fucking chugs. It feels like developers are retarded.

IIRC this was a huge problem with WoW a few years ago. Only using a single fucking core and running like shit for everyone.

>You don't "take advantage" of hyperthreading
You absolutely do. Games have to be optimized to actually distribute their processing tasks across multiple cores. More cores doesn't benefit you unless you're running software made to engage all those cores meaningfully. Poor multithreading engagement has been a central sticking point of optimization ever since "dual core" entered the market.

>not on windows 11
NGMI

It should be mandatory for games to explain what they mean by minimum and recommended. Does recommended mean 60fps? Probably not.

Do i really need 12 fucking gigs of ram or will i be okay with 8 on a lower setting?

Attached: 1636126207951.jpg (720x720, 54.76K)

Unironically your ram timing is shit. If you're using 3200mhz ram you want your CL (first timing value) to be 14 or under.

Can anyone tell me what's most dire about this PC, other than the RAM? I don't know what's most in need of an upgrade

Attached: 1517633946582.gif (720x403, 2.49M)

The recommended stats here are a literal copy-paste of the capabilities of a PS5, so barring optimization or porting issues you should expect to match the PS5's benchamrks if you match the recommended.

Can someone post the Bloodborne whip gameplay webm? Thanks.

I think i'll be fine.

>I will never understand the cores thing. Almost every single game I have ever played, ever since I got a CPU with a bunch of cores and hyperthreading, only uses 1 fucking core.
Multithreaded programming is not easy. Also DX11 and OpenGL (lol who uses that though) only support single threaded rendering. DX12 and Vulkan support multithreaded rendering, but those are also difficult to program for so most devs stick with DX11 and thus single threaded logic too. But good thing is Microsoft got rid of DX11 for the SeX so now devs are gonna be forced to learn multithreading and DX12
Reread what I posted. If you write a multithreaded game that can take advantage of multiple cores it will also take advantage of hyper threading. There is no specific "code this way to benefit from hyperthreading", when you code for multiple cores you also code for multiple threads

Ram will unironically bottleneck you.
The game pre-loads a tonne of assets to avoid loading stutters as you move around the open world. You can reduce the pressure on your CPU and GPU by turning settings down, and future updates may optimize these, but the game is designed to have a huge loading buffer and that's not going to change.
You need 4 more gb of ram. Literally 1 ram stick. I guarantee you that your rig has a ram slot open if you're not on a fucking laptop. Even if your motherboard is old as shit you'll easily still find compatible RAM for cheap. And if you somehow don't have a slot free, you can buy two slots of 8gb DDR3 for under 5 bucks and just replace your old ram entirely. DDR4 is a little more expensive but if you're sweating about 12gb of ram then you're definitely not using a motherboard with DDR4 slots.

my rig is fine but im bad at video games so i wont play this, even though it looks fun

Can I run it guise?!?!?!?!!!!?

Spoonfeed me please. How does adding more RAM work? I already have 8. If I buy 16, is there a place I slot it in? Do I then have 24gb? Never added more RAM before but I'm gonna do it next week

im above recs except for CPU, i5-8600k

im a brainlet but from research it seems very very close to the i7-8700k for games? I just want 1080p/60fps with max settings, don't care for 1440p. Hope its enough or ill have to get it on ps5 instead

I'm probably fucked, but I managed to play RE2 Remake and it made it run loud, but it did run

It runs at 900-1440 (dynamic resolution) upscaled to 4k at low settings on the PS5. FTFY.

>2080
I'm good, but I'll also try it out in my 1050ti laptop for shits and giggles

Attached: 1645036178800.jpg (540x960, 92.23K)

You take the sticks out, and put them in either slots 1&3 or 2&4. Don't mix and match different kits of memory. Boot to your BIOS, turn on XMP, save and reboot, done

When buying RAM just get whatever is the best value/on special, don't fall for the RGB/frequency/CL jew, 90% of your memory performance comes from installing it in the right slots and turning on XMP

granted i don't know what I was doing and game someone a budget, this is what they got me. It's worked fine so far. Not even sure what XMP is.

>>i want this game to have the smallest playerbase possible
That already happens on PC without High specs.

>3080 w/ DLSS on 1440p

Attached: 1632115423189.jpg (627x568, 36.29K)

Who cares? I'll just tune down the grafix until it runs well.

Attached: 2632643.jpg (900x900, 77.1K)

I own an ampere card + 5600x at 16gb ram
I guess it'll work

So no 8gb + 16gb? What about 16gb + 16gb? Or just a single 16gb. I haven't actually looked at the price yet for what's within my range

It makes your RAM run it its advertised speed, with it turned off it's extremely limited.

The network test dipped well below 50 FPS, and the game ran at 1500-1800p (dynamic resolution) in performance mode.

Attached: 50R2fWOdfhY.jpg (1920x1080, 351.58K)

It requires 3GB NVRAM minimum
so that's good news,
but 12GB of ram

you can't upgrade your GPU as easy as slapping in another 8GB of ram.

so good. my shitty laptop with 16GB ram and a 4GBVRAM gpu can play it

How do I turn it on? Unless that's the funny thing about this MOBO and you can't.

3070ti and 5600x. I'm fine but I won't be buying it at release anyways
