after putting 200 hours into it as a 13 year old in 2011 it was a great game.
then I played real rpgs and compared it to morrowind (and even oblivion) and it seemed like a complete joke.

Mario Madness

Mario Odyssey. I used to think it wasn't as good as the previous entries, but it's actually much better if you play all those creative fun levels spread around each kingdom, instead of just getting the braindead easy moon and moving on

I fucking hated Sonic CD but now I think it's the third best Sonic game.

i liked the special stages

Skyrim, realized it was shit, extremely shit without mods.

It has a lot going for it even before you get into the mod scene and add in max control and Knuckles.
I learned Skyrim is the greatest H-game in existence.

Marathon, I originally dismissed it as another archaic Doom clone because I had just come off playing a gorillion doom clones and was in a bit of a bad mood. Someone called me out on thinking that, and so I went to replay it in order to confirm if I was wrong after all. Realized it does a lot of things much better than Doom and its many clones do, I still wouldn't call it a great FPS game, but its certainly much better than Doom and its many 2.5d clones.
