For a game with no voice acting, the cinematography sure was incredible

The game is more or less uniquely good at this. An incrediblw amount of thought went into the camera and how it should be have in a given situation, and the environment data is full of 'camera cues' to influence this.

For the most part the 3DS version is too saturated (but still not bad) but the decayed Temple of Time still looks incredible.

Why not? Crucifixion is one of the most painful forms of execution mankind has devised, where you essentially spend hours suffocating. That execution is the most holy and tragic thing in Christianity.

only the spirit temple was an actual temple, so by that logic it's the last temple in the game (also the first)

People do this because it's pretty clear now that a lot of it was exaggerated, and it's clear that the number of systematic deaths was much lower than what was initially claimed. Shit was still horrible, but seeing people harp on about something that is in no way unique, as an excuse to control a whole region and maintain political support, really gets on your nerves.

You can see a lot of manga influence in the game, too. The first confrontation with Ganondorf could be turned into one with almost no changes.
It's the punchy dialogue combined with the camera changes.

Depends on what you consider a "systematic death."
For instance, if you lock a bunch of women, children, and old people up in a shit heap against their will, starve them, degrade them, work them, and then they die of dysentery, I'd still argue that's a systematic death. They were not supposed to be there. The system put them there, and the system did what it was designed to do.

Fire can be done after everything else beside Shadow, Spirit doesn't even technically require the lens, as you can navigate the path through the desert by mapping out the accessible areas yourself.
