They're not canon, but Shadow of Mordor/War are fun, if you aren't burned out on the Bamham/AssCreed formula. I also remember War in the North being kind of fun too.

To be honest, none of the things out there seem to do Lord of the Rings as a book, and as a show, justice. They are more like a FANtasy, if you will, of the show that they saw, but didn’t really understand, or have the time to really pay credit to. It’s all about love of money, and lust.
I remember the snes game and that was never really good even before the movie.
Then you have like, the Xbox 360 games, lego lord of the rings games, you have action button mashers, then you have some pretty nice looking Real Time Strategies , and then you have Shadow of Mordor which is the Orc Personality Friendship is Lovely Simulator.
