They're way too cool looking. They're supposed to be somewhat of a shithole under constant threat of chaos. Compare their low tier infantry to the beat up peasants filling the low ranks of the Empire and Bretonnia. That and they went way too high fantasy with all the ice magic and bears everywhere. It's like they're some kind of magical snow elves instead of beat up slavs.

I'm not even bringing up the different new factions that hang out close to you now like Thrott. In the first game you could beat down and force 2-3 tribes to join your pretty consistently in the first couple of dozen turns. Now in 2 they can pair up and organize into huge blobs that you can't really take on. Norsca never got any form of adjustment or updates in the second game and I'm really tempted to just not get 3 until they give them more attention.
