Steam Deck battery life

FSR was enabled for the steam deck
The Phawx(youtuber with steam deck) just published power usage comparisons with Steamdeck.
Image comparisons 720p vs 540p Native vs 540p FSR

Things to note:
>its not a good idea to compare the "remaining time" on mangohud because the shots were taken at different charge levels, look at the wattage under "BATT" instead
Also because i know some people on this board are retarded lower is better for power draw
>keep in mind this is supposed to be on a 7 inch display
>yes FSR images look worse than native 720p, that is the point
>FSR1 to 10 only has to do with the sharpness level applied to the image.
>some games may show little to no benefit(reportedly DMC5) because wattage is low anyway giving you more than 3 hours on a full charge and only going up to 3:30 with FSR

Its over

I was thinking of buying Steam Deck, but I'd only use it to play games that came out between 1995-2005 and some indie titles. That would prevent the battery from draining after 2 hours, right?

sheesh

the real issue with those games is the lack of controller support user.

holy fuck get a life
literally rent free

I assume the controller support won't be an issue once I install and run retro titles through the Steam version of RetroArch.

idk man some older games stress one cpu core to 100% because they were coded like that back then. probably not good for battery.

>stop shitting on my $600 piece of shit!!!!

oh you are talking about emulators.
I assumed you meant stuff like old Windows games.
Yeah retroarch should work just fine.

it has mouse pads

6 hours of dead cells seems pretty good.

You should have ordered one sooner.

Wow look at how easy it is to cherry pick shit in a video mostly praising the Steam Deck. Retard.

i wonder how cheap 2TB m.2 2230s will get

Not cheap anytime soon with the factory shenanigans that just happened in the short term. Long term, should go down but will take a while.

WD just had an artificial flooding so SSD prices will rice this year.
