Demand has been growing steadily for years, in 2019 we reached a point where booked orders finally maxed out fab capacity. 2020 and 2021 saw these orders fulfilled and shipped wafers were higher than ever. Revenue of every foundry in the industry is now higher than ever and it is directly tied to increased volume, more parts produced, more parts sold.
You normalfaggot retard subhuman scum speak of this as if supply was decimated, this isn't the case at all. Prices on the market are not increasing because of a so called shortage at all. GPUs and other components are being purchased by scalpers, and they're being purchased by large financial firms which are serving the same function as scalpers, extracting more from the consumers. More foundries are being built, more production lines coming online, but even increasing total global cmos capacity 20% in coming years will not stop predatory market practices.

That was also a reason for me but I am fucking FOMOing because of mods, I loved all of the cosmetic and overhaul mods of DS games. I might start out with the PS5 version for launch and then get the PC version somewhere down the line in a sale for modding.
