Yeah uh, could you get me 12 bear paws? Only from the brown bears to the north of here, though

>somehow need to kill more than 3 bears when they have 4 each

Do you require just a specific paw, like front left paw or any of them? It is important in terms of how many bears I have to deal with, like a lot.

I always assumed the others were "damaged in combat"

>Kill 100 bears
>They drop only pelts and innards
>Take bear paw quest
>Now suddenly paws start dropping
???????????

Yes is it a sensible conclusion, one can also assume it is sets of paws. But disregarding obious game mechanics and streamlining it is of course a bit silly as well.

Not something one should fret about tho.

The rest of the paws are too mangled and fucked up from battle to be of use.

>get one paw per 3 dead bears

>"please collect 10 buzzard gizzards, 12 boar intestines and 7 bear balls"
>vendored all that stuff before logging off the day prior
The worst feeling.

The argument about it always was
>Muh fireball burned bear to ash so there is nothing left to loot so it takes luck not to burn the bear completely
The westfall stew quest

only true gamers will understand

what are they doing with these bear assholes..?

Why don't we have tranquilizing or stealth kill mechanic for proper loot control?

Look they're kung fu bears which are VERY good at using all their limbs in combat, parries and counterstrikes and one thing leads to another

>Game gives you an option to hand in early at 8/12 for a slightly reduced reward or over complete to 16/12 for a bonus reward

>Goes on bear hunt
>just want their paws
>"better conjure up the most powerful spell I can, to completely incinerate that honey eating fucker"
>Muh damaged in combat
Yeah, don't just shoot it in the head or heart.

Like in Monster Hunter? When you catch monsters in specific way chances for specific loot become higher?

What game does this?

Because that is just adding more needless mechanincs and bloat. If you're that concerned you just make it 100% or a set kill quest with a token item or word it sets of paws etc.
