Personally I only play decks I like the art/playstyle/theme of to begin with. Sure I need to play a few generic staples to stay playable but I always make sure I have a bigger core of the cards I like over other engines and shit.

Most players that would play Full art are competing at a level where the card text on the card is irrelevant because everyone knows what the card does. It's even easier in games with rotations where not 10 thousand cards are legal to play.

Assuming he didn't somehow deck you out in 1 turns or discard your entire hand or some shit; you can: Attack Directly, Do Piercing Damage, Play cards that make the opponent tribute him/send him elsewhere (there's a few but im blanking on the names right now, Do effect damage, Summon cards to his field to negate his effect then destroy him, play a deck with an alternate win condition like final countdown or F.A winners and play him at his own game.
