It's closer to Town of Salem or Mafia type deduction games. The roles are limited though and the game loop is pretty simple. Overall its a visual novel, but I have to say the story was pretty great to unravel and I enjoyed the twists at the end. If you go into this not expecting a visual novel with a very quick but similar game loop, you might come out disappointed.
