You ever fought Chalice Dungeon Rom? It's Rom but in the dungeons where the devs didn't care to test half the shit because it's just an extra and optional portion of the game, which many players don't do. Chalice Rom is the most annoying fucking boss you'll ever come across, and almost every time you fight him he will break in a different way. Some spider goons won't spawn in until you're within their attack range, and sometimes Rom doesn't teleport when he's supposed to, so he ends up teleporting later and summoning two hordes of spider goons instead of one.
And in general he just gets into loops of spamming the magic meteor attack and there's nothing you can do because spider goons are all over your asshole and you have to repeatedly dodge an endless three hit attack.

My strat is always just beast blood pellet, blades of mercy, and r1 spam ignoring the small spiders. If you're lucky he dies before he has time to do anything.
