It's unironically because Telltale was such an egregiously mismanaged studio they tried to take on actual dozens of new projects every year or two, stretching themselves completely thin on a shitton of new IPs and projects while refusing to make continuations of the ones people actually wanted like Wolf Amogus and Bamham except Walking Dead, which their retarded executives unironically thought would stay so successful it would permanently bankroll all the studio's other projects.
It's worth reading up on, I've never seen a studio fail before so purely on the incompetence of its leadership without any outside factors or mitigating circumstances.
