Stafium and Stadium 2 would alter the color of your Pokemon based on the characters used in it's nickname. Not sure if the shinies were affected too.

What are you shiny hunting in Arceus? I was lucky enough to get Gardevoir as a outbreak but no luck yet. After that I'm doing petilil
I know they've reduced the odds so hard that it'd be harder for it to not happen but I still caught my first shiny today (if you don't count the red gyarados from gen 2) and it felt pretty good
granted I don't even like sudowoodo so it got boxed immediately but it's the thought that counts
I got a shiny Lapras in Pokémon X/Y and in my initial playthrough and if I remember correctly you could only get one per playthrough. I thought it was cool except when you use surf with it the model is still the default one, which bugs me to this day.

In all my years of Pokemon the only shiny I actually got randomly was a drifblim
And a shiny marowak as a rental pokemon in the battle factory in emerald :(
