Whatever they replace shrines with (if they even do) weapon upgrade orbs that increase attack power and allow different attacks.

If they keep weapon durability, let the upgrades make them last longer and allow all of them to be fixed should you break them I'm battle.

some weapons that are permanent and some weapons that you can switch out, maybe have them disappear after some peroid has gone, but hitting enemies wouldn't destroy them in 5 hits. Maybe weapons that only work in certain areas or certain time of the day. Something like that. Just don't punish you for actually hitting enemies, making you hoard items and then afraid to use them because they will disappear and so you don't have to constantly pick up new shit. It's not fun..
