Destiny has fucked themselves into a corner with their FOMO treadmill. Each season more people drop off and the game is antagonistic to returners and downright impenetrable to newcomers. They entice people to show back up each new expansion where they promise they've learned their lesson and will wipe the slate clean, only to make the game even more of a pay to not grind FOMO piece of shit that would make Warframe blush. That and every update comes at the cost of them deleting half the game.
