The game was bound to be complete shit!
Here is the problem with Elden Ring:
>Literally a Dark Souls ripoff to the point where it can be considered paid DLC >Story and combat where the game literally plays itself (Just kick back and watch the dumbed down gameplay making it easy for journalists) >No moonlight greatsword at all. Most of the reveal content has been cut from the game >Graphics downgraded after initial reveal >Main game can be finished in 15 hours or less. Barely any side-content >World map is smaller than Dark Souls 2 >Barely any blood throughout the entire story >Requires purchasing a PS4 Pro or a PS5 for the full experience. Has inconsistent framerate that drops into low 20s on a regular PS4 >Enemies are easy as fuck and casualized. You can two-shot 90% of mobs >Empty game world with nothing to do in it. Repetitive design and re-used assets and re-used animations from previous Souls games >Music is worse than the previous Dark Souls titles >No photo mode (It's 2022 wtf?) Even Demons Souls PS5 remake had a photo mode
Based off of the screenshots, gameplay and streams, it looks like a worse version of Dark Souls 3. At least fucking TRY to put some effort into making these games. They've had 6 years to make this game and it's still fucking trash.
Japanese devs only know how to rehash. Look at Gamefreak and their new Pokemon game, it's designed to be a quick cash grab. Typical Japanese budget experience except these studios make hundreds of millions and still can't bother to put in any real effort and soul into their games.
Do yourself a favor and buy Horizon Forbidden West which seems decent as fuck. The combat alone is 10x better than Elden Ring and there's tons of shit to do on the map. You can even fly machines and there is an underwater map. No rehashed poison swamp for the tenth time like Elden Ring.
I would literally spend $120 dollars on paid souls DLC than play any more Horizon.

Your favourite game might be flawed enough that you hope things change in the sequel and its reworked to be radically different, we dont Just give me more dark souls and I'll be happy, and it looks like Im gonna be happy at the end of the month
