They let you set text speed and skip cutscenes but you can't skip to the end of a text box if you read faster than the voices go. They have a bunch of well designed characters but the dub voices for every single character are awful. The game plays like a classic beat-em-up in it being one player versus 5+ enemies at a time and they infinitely respawn if you stay in an area but there's no lives system and if you die once, you have to restart the area.
