anybody else here miss the original style ass creed games? the rpg trilogy killed it for me, it doesn't have its own identity anymore

my favorites are 4 and rogue, but i think 2 is the best one, the series needs to go into hibernation and reboot some years later

i had the idea of having a modern day segment that's GTA/Watch Dogs, and going into the animus where it's AC/Tenchu, that'd be an epic game

I've only played 2 of the "original style" ass cream games and 1 of the newer ones.
New one seemed too bloated for my taste, but then again in old ones well it was getting old. Anyway I guess both have plus and minuses

it has the same style of combat and stealth as the first game, are you fucking dumb?

Ah yes; the famous batclaw, carriages and lack of manual jumping from Assassin's Creed 1. Fuck off.

Calm down stupid ass. There are more elements that were weird in Syndicate, like the less good parkour.

Yeah those new games are fucking awful, I generally enjoyed the old ones but the nu-trilogy just doesn't do it for me. Odyssey could've been a cool new IP with less grind, no RPG itemization, no SJW shit and better side content though.

these are just gameplay additions, not a complete overhaul like Origins you idiot

Was Syndicate any good? I heard the combat is kinda shit, even for AC standards

They were very flawed, but I really miss the focus on big ass, highly vertical historical cities and the focus on stealth and non-RPG combat (again, as middling as both systems could be).

I saw some Valhalla the other day and it's literally shit I could see in TW3 and a plethora of fantasy games, what with the focus on really large, flat natural environments and them going ham with the sci-fi and fantasy elements that have always existed. I like that kind of game, but that's not what I liked about this series. The next AC is probably going to be even worse. It's called Infinity and will be a GAAS seemingly.

>not a complete overhaul
They might as well be you absolute retard. Did the first game have loot, gang bars, the ability to skip over one of the two main mechanics of the game, levels up and XP points? You colossal faggot.

>manual jumping
no assassin's creed has "manual jumping" it has holding right trigger+A to Zelda hop from ledges

I just wanted the weirdly creepy, morose energy of the original game and more of it. Even 2 upset me in that regard. It stopped being a conspiracy between two weird middle eastern cults things beyond comprehension insanely fast.

Yea I miss it. I hate how they turned AC into a fucking RPG

You can literally jump in every asscreed except the new trilogy, granted it doesn't serve much purpose since it's better to just use the freerun but it's there and jumping off walls is a good movement technique in games that allow it

Unity is still one of my fav games ever. Definitely the best iteration of the series gameplay wise. Storywise it was eh, but the setting carried it.

that's why I specifically mentioned just combat and stealth which are pretty much the same from ac1 to syndicate, you are fucking braindead

>that's why I specifically mentioned just combat and stealth
But you didn't you absolute retard

AC's indentity was far gone by the sime Syndicate rolled around. It's a shit game, and a shit AC. Seriously, kill yourself.
