WKC is "Create your character, anyway here's Leonard, he's incredibly nothing but he's the protagonist and he gets a mech while your character is literally just some person along for the ride for no real reason".
Dark Souls in a slightly subversive way
Less "you did these actions because you are the chosen one" and more "because you did these actions, you are the chosen one"
It's just a meaningless title

NieR Replicant
Most Ys games? Adol, if he ever is a 'chosen special person' or something is usually only pushed into that role by virtue of already being an exemplar of heroism. He gets chosen because he's already good at this shit, rather than being good at shit because he's chosen. And many games he's literally just a guy who happens to be around.
Opposing Force

Elder Scrolls IV
Mario Party (Chance Time)
Persona 3 in a way
MC-kun wasn't chosen, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and was set on a path of death because of it
