Dying Light 2

Now that it's out, is it fun?

Sort of. If you think playing in a society is fun.

>make an epic store account using argentinian VPN to buy Hitman 3 for literally $5 on premiere day
>the prices are still low even if I don't have a VPN active and can buy Dying Light 2 for almost 50% off
Tim... I bow down... It's literally my go to way of obtaining denuvo games now. Plus Russians have figured out a legit epic store dlc unlocked.

>first person melee combat
it's shit

yeah

Denuvo. Enough said.

spot the console peasant

runs like shit so no

Epic lets you get argentina discounts? Fuck I will actually ditch steam for this

Yeah, drop kicking zombies off roofs is still fun, but the first hour is a slog of tutorials and you start off slow as shit and weak, kinda like the first game I guess. Played like 5 hours so far and it's a strong 7-8/10. One thing I really dislike is that they dropped the horror element from the first game, nights in 1 were absolutely pitch dark and terrifying, looking over your shoulder to see a horde of volatiles and infected chasing you was always asshole clenching, there's none of that in 2.

I can run it at 1080p 60fps med settings on my old ass i5 8400 and 1070, though I've heard people with far better setups getting worse performance. It seems like wonky performance is a hallmark of AAA pc games now.

most of the people i play with are running 3070 and 80's, no one can get above 80 FPS on 1080p lmao
its a shitshow

you can do that with steam as well, you used to be able to do it on your regular account but they patched it, then my retarded friend used my profile to comment a link on his profile when he was over at my house and steam thought that was fishy and reset my account and now it's back to $ and they patched the exploit, you need to make a purchase with an argentinian credit card for it to work on already existing accounts, you can make a new one with a vpn and it'll work fine though

Idk, I'm playing co-op with a buddy who has a 3060 and he says it runs at around 100fps on 1440p with everything maxed and RTX disabled.

no crack so no idea
why is it so hard for that tranny to set up a gofundme type thing (not that obviously) to get her precious $500. A bunch of us would definitely chip in $1 each.

Or he had the fps counter off and is making shit up.

Or he's just straight up lying to you to feel better about his toaster.

I can boot the game up and screenshot it running at 65-70 fps on my 1070, unless you're retarded and crank up all fucking 5 raytracing effects then I find it hard to believe that you can't run the game well on a 3070.

Got this shit to play with a friend who was super hyped for it on playstation but haven't even opened it yet because the plan is to do the story coop style like we did last time.
I've been seeing some...things about it that's made me worry I should pop it in now and just tell her to refund it over the phone or something if it's bad.
Is it just day 1 launch fuckery they can fix with some patches and elbow grease or is it proper fucked?
I personally have low expectations for any game and actually like a bit of jank in my mediocre but DL1 only worked for her because it had Stupid brand fun when played with friends but it sounds like they're swinging below that mark this time.

No fucking guns in this game. Wish to God I never bought this fucking piece of shit.

Really? I thought people dislike the guns in that game.

Not that user but it's divisive. They're pretty powerful for what they are but they almost always draw some kind of attention which draws more and the lack of actual combat with them can rob the game of it's fun.
With how my buddies play it's a welcome addition on my end.

first person melee combat is the only right way to do melee combat.

Why does Aiden sound exactly like Kyle Crane?

it is amazing how much closer this feels to Dead Island with its movement and "press f to loot bruh" than to Dying Light

There's a lot of falseflagging and plebposting about the game. It's pretty much the next benchmark major raytracing release, ala Metro Exodus or Control. The darkness of the shadows make it PITCH black at nighttime. If you're not playing with the RT GI then it looks dramatically different.

I felt like I was being baited in the first hour so I refunded. Gonna wait and see what Any Forums thinks before I buy it again.

>outline around bat

dropped

Yeah, the combat and parkour, what's got the shazam trannies frothing? Shouldn't they be more concerned with Elden Ring?

I get +150 FPS all maxed out at 2k (no raytracing though). I got a beefy computer however

nice, another shitty tech demo for some ebin visual effects 90% of people cant utilize but ate dev time anyway
i'd take a fun game instead, thanks

This is pure cope. I'm getting 60-70fps at 1440p max settings. Update your drivers.

>These key bindings

I'm sorry but I had to rebind everything to the left side of my keyboard. Does anyone actually use keys like P, I, and M? I feel retarded.

No idea. It's jonah scott the guy who voiced johnny in super crooks for aiden.
>guy who did crane is better known for being sonic, ezio, and chris renfield
Maybe he's got Steve Blum Syndrome going on where because he has such range it just winds up with people constantly comparing random VA's to him so you're just thinking you're hearing Craig's voice when it's really Jonah's.

the game is very rough around the edges but i am having fun

Ihave about 5 hours in it, and though I like it, something doesnt feel right. Like there isnt many enemies and the kick is nerfed to shit because of the stamina system. Like you use to make use of ledges and traps for kills where they would ragdoll over a ledge after like 3 kicks but in this one the enemies barely react to being kicked and because you use stamina to both attack and kick now, there is no reason to kick. I feel like putting all the combat and parkour mechanics behind levelling was a bad idea and reading the abilities it seems like the game gets more fun later. The combat feels weightless because the enemies dont get smacked around like the first game.

Also where the fuck are the hordes, it seems like you only ever face like 5 enemies at once and the streets are practically empty. It REALLY wants you to play at nighttime but the new mecahnic around it is fucking terrible, that was a bad addition to the game putting a time limit on how long you can be in the dark
>use to have to be careful and sneak in the dark
>now you have to run as fast as possible to do anything, and playing at night is basically the only way to get loot and XP
I like the game but it doesnt feel right. I prefer the first game so far.
