extremely

you don't have two thousand dollars to waste on a dolby 7.1 setup so you're probably going to buy a pair of two hundred dollar cans to play vidya

I live with roommates so I bought these. They sound exquisite.

My headphones are dying, which new one should I get?

Save your money and buy Stax.

repair your current ones

pretty important if you're looking to put dents in your skull

I recommend Arctis 5. Good audio/mic quality, also durable and will last a while unless you're an ape and abuse it.

hey, I've had the ath-m50x variety for years now. they're really showing their age and the material is starting to peel, but they do sound fantastic and do an excellent job of blocking outside noise

weird marketing thread OP

is there a reason why those look so fucking ugly?
im sure they sound good but god damn.

>which new one should I get?

What is your budget?

I had those, broke down really fast and was nothing special.

>AIO radiators on your head

>not using speakers

I'm a simple man that enjoys simplicity.

5/10
Nice to have, but mine collect dust. I only use them when talking to family over the internet. Get some nice sennheisers but don't spend more than $120.

The only headphones you'll ever need for the rest of your life

Entry level Japanese earspeakers. On a completely different level than headphones.

what the fuck is that keyboard, I want to hurt somebody

I have been using only speakers my entire life

I will spend whatever it takes. They don't need to have superb audio quality, it just needs to be passable and the headphones need to have a long lifespan.

looks like a 60% keyboard

Headphones are becoming too bulky and annoying to wear.

I just use my bluetooth earphones since it's more portable and the sound quality is okay (not the best) but it's good enough to hear the dialogue and music.

SHP9500 with v-moda mic are the only headphones worth getting for gaming. They even double as incredible all-around headphones for the price, as well.

I use emu teaks, max comfy

I bought Razer Kraken X and it was the worst buy of my life

drop olkb planck, it's a 40% keyboard

Get something from Philips (SHP 9500 or Fidelio X2) or anything by Audio Technica. If you need a mic for team chat get an antlion modmic. will fit pretty much anything that isn't locked in by proprietary shit
Senns are nice and all but there's too much vendor lock in for my taste. All their cables have a shitty 2,5mm jack in the earcups so you have to hunt around for a cable, and there's even some models that have a proprietary lock-in system so not all 2,5mm jacks will fit. Also earpads can be a nightmare to get.

Are there any headphones that won't hurt my head and ears after an hour? That's why I don't wear them. If I could find a comfortable pair I can wear for at least 6 hours for an actual gaming session, I'd use them

I use HyperX Cloud Orbit, I think they're very comfy. They're abysmal for FPS games though.

Open backs will be your best bet. They are fully vented so they don't build pressure from the bass in your ears and they don't have too much clamp force because they don't need to create pressure for a seal.
Philips, Audio Technica, Sennheiser and AKG have decent offerings in all budget price ranges.

Pro: Cheapest way to get the best audio quality

Con: Skeletons can sneak up on you at their leisure

Fuck headphones.

user, what if I told you there's always a skeleton within 2 meters of you.
