Painfully memorable. I do love remembering auto-to-winning my way through the game by spamming zio spells and stun bullets and the stupidly high random encounter rate that ironically makes the game more braindead to play through.
I can respect it enough, it was my first entry in the series and I had zero expectations going in, but it's a shit game fundamentally and no "cool moment in story" can make up for the thoroughly boring time I had with it. Picking SMT1 as your favorite is just a shallow attempt for old credit.

No SMT game has a good story. I play for gameplay and atmosphere. V is trash and the gameplay is needlessly convoluted with stupid HP Pools. Not withstanding the "story"

Strange Journey is the only SMT that I played and I loved the atmosphere, the music, visuals, combat. Almost everything. I tried to play Devil Summoner and Nocturne but I couldn't get into it past a few minutes after the intro of both games. What gives?
