LoL is in my opinion better (2k on dota 5k LoL hours) for faster paced players. Dota 2 has more unique character designs and is slower paced. League is far more enjoyable to me as the games dont take literal hours. I would find myself losing interest in both games after a match hits around the 40 to 50 minute mark which is an extreme rarity in LoL vs Dota. Dota 2 does has some insanely unique characters that however could not be put into League such as invoker and meepo. Really its just personal preference.
