SWITCH CONFIRMED TO BE STILL AT THE MIDDLE OF ITS LIFECYCLE

Well bros that's it, no Switch 2 until late 2025, we'll still be dealing with 1080p* for a good four years.

I blame the chip shortage. This gen is going to go on way past it's welcome.

Hopefully that doesn't mean they can't release a Switch Pro.

Hey, at least in 2025 a decent performing tablet SoC will be affordable at Nintendo's budget prices.

>Wii U was a underpowered gimmicky console
>massive flop
>Switch is a underpowered gimmicky tablet
>huge success
How did this happen?

switch will be milked forever and bingtendofags will keep on eating it.
devs are already tired of downgrading their games to a decade old architecture

i guess it really is just marketing

I'm sure they said the same thing about the Nintendo 3DS... before they did the New™ 3DS.

the switch is slightly better, but the secret sauce was simply alot better marketing and more games (porting all the WIIU games and having some games of its own made it perfect for all the people who skipped out on the WIIU).

For starters everyone thought the Wii U was just another extention for the Wii and since the Wii was just a massive gimmick none of the actual HC gamers cared. The few who did know it was another console still didn't buy because 1. The Wii was shit and 2. It came out mid gen so they already had a generally new console a few yers ago. Then you have the DS being probably the greated gaming device ever that Nintendo was putting out all their good games on so if you where going to by a Nintendo thing it would be the DS.

Switch Nintendo firmly stated that this was going to be the new gen for Nintendo systems and would replace both their consoles and handheld line so anyone who had interest in one or the other have to buy in to the switch. It's gimmick also isn't that crazy and actually makes sense. Nintendo also actually focusing on making and having good games instead of shovelware gimmick trash also helps it a lot.

Every portable by Nintendo sells a lot, only this one you can plug on the TV.

>1080p

nice b8 m8

look at the asterisk user

>games
>marketing
>appeals to mobile market in general
people on Any Forums seem to think console are the majority, they aren't. the majority of gamers now use phones. in fact, mobile gamers are literally over 50% of total gamers. PC makes up for like 35% while all consoles combined are another 15%.

Nintendo does this shit every time they are about to release a new console. Remember when they said the 3ds would still be supported after the switch came out but it was only like 3 games?
Of course they have to say shit like this, or else no one would buy the console anymore and just wait.

Great. 5 more years of shit performance.

Nah. Nobody cares actually.
4k is overrated AF. I have a 4K tv and the difference isn't that noticeable.
You'll bitch about it not being the newest thing under the son just like you annoying fucking graphics whores always do.

Ive noticed ever since crysis, the better a games graphics are, the less fun it is.

third-parties

Normalfags did not understand that Wii U was new console and not a peripheral, it was so bad that stores here printed out leaflets that said that Wii U games won't work on a Wii.

Mobile games are a different market entirely and irrelevant. It's like conflating tv with movies. Dumb nigger.

The switch is a portable ps3. Games haven't changed much since ps3. Ps5 is a wet fart. Graphics are irrelevant now. You just play minecraft league team fagtress and fortnite anyway you fag.

It doesn't seem like the Switch and the average mobile market overlap that much. Nintendo made the wise choice of integrating home and portable so they keep their loyal market share from the handheld era since a singular portable console isn't viable anymore.

Im glad since it's so easy to pirate on and graphically it's about as good as a game needs to be. I wish it could handle frame rate issues better though.
