yes, now take your meds zoomeretard

Gear should be on the left side with weapons, while consumables and tools should be on the right side. That way all combat items are on one side, and non-combat are on another.

>IF I CAN'T SEE SHIT THEN THAT MEANS ITS A GOOD UI YEP YEP SOVL

I prefer minimalist UIs because ideally a UI should be designed to be as unobtrusive as possible.

Why would you have these images saved if you hated them? Also how are interactive elements useless? It was what it is for it's time. That second one is not an example of not being able to see anything.

Is it cracked yet?

Where is the item rarity and console layout???
It doesn't pander to ADHD audience, no orange loot to chase therefore it's bad

What ubisoft game is that?

Good, functional UI:
Obtuse garbage:

I wanna agree but amend that "unobtrusive" should mean that it blends to the game. which absolute minimalism (single-color simple shapes) actually does very poorly.

I would name World of Warfact as the best UI I've ever seen in a game. It's minimalist but still detailed enough to blend into the game world and also pretty to look at.

I loved the trophy hook slot so much in Witcher I.
Didn't have the same impact in the later games, felt pared back.

holy amazeballs batman!! now thats a clean lookin ui!

I'm more sick to death of rarity-based 'gear/loot' being worked into every single-player game nowadays. One of the major appeals of Dying Light for me was how effective of a fighter you could be without even using weapons. Knocking zombies down, dropkicking them off buildings, stunning them with kicks for takedowns - I'm certain that these are things you can still do in 2, but the addition of defence values makes me imagine opening the map and seeing level recommendations over enemy bases or something. Maybe that isn't the case, but if not, then why is armour necessary? Maybe it's the distinct feeling of 'live-service' that accompanies presentation like this that leaves a sour taste in my mouth whenever I see it.
Haven't played the game myself, so maybe I'm overreacting or just making incorrect assumptions, but just this screenshot alone makes me feel like the brutal, simple nature of Dying Light's combat might have been made more 'balanced' for lack of a better term.

It's like I am really using a phone!

best ui of the last 10 years

Attached: kingdom-come-deliverance-inventory-size.jpg (1280x720, 103.87K)

>dropped
More like you did a specific quest and a guaranteed reward was given to you with no rng involved.
They even take the fun out of random drops.

>every single thing on your screen and you can resize windows
morrowind's ui is great
oblivion looked nice but it was clunky console shit while skyrim's looked and performed like shit

Attached: mw.png (1920x1010, 1.55M)

As someone who’s not a huge fan of RPG gameplay, I absolutely hate RPG elements creeping their way into action games, stealth games etc.

It doesn’t make the game deeper. Instead, it makes the game easier to break because you can brute force shit with stats.

Why does every game need faux-rpg stats now?

skyrim's was such shit that todd's favorite mod is skyui

>horror game with un-pausing inventory management
incredibly based. I commend RE7 for this choice, which RE8 dropped.

See this is a PC UI, what you have today is console/smartphone UI.
Can you imagine the poor console baby trying to navigate through all of that with an analog.

Game is entirely first person you sperg.

yesbecause I played entirely on xbox

Kys retard

how does it work, did they remake it or is it just like on pc with you moving the cursor with the analog stick?

Attached: reverse.jpg (831x1280, 90.82K)

I'll take Skyrim's vanilla UI any day of the week over Oblivion's, what the fuck were they thinking with that one.

Why is everything copy pasted for the last 10 years?

time to get on that GRIND for epic loot and meaningless stats bros, where the battle pass grinders at?

Attached: 960x0.jpg (960x539, 55.95K)

Grinding artificially lengthens games and keeps people playing for longer. It’s also an easy way to insert microtransactions.

STOP FUCKING PUTTING LOOT IN EVERY GAME

no-one has anything to live for anymore so video games need to all be tedious grinds to sink your entire life into

I haven't played for over fifteen years but I'm pretty sure they gave you a mouse that you controlled with the analog stick. Loading times were in the minutes though which is honestly what I remember most.
