my gf has spilled coffee on mine about 6 times in the past 6 months really getting fucking sick of cleaning it

you can wash them?

thats bad for ur mousepad bro

My current mousepad is litterally melting from the bottom side

Plastic doesn't need washing that often.
But when was the last time you cleaned your mouse?

Fuck them for putting a gorrilion tiny ridges and divets in the mice.

Don't use one. Anyone else prefer wood over mousepads?

No it's not you dirty pig, been washing mine for years with zero issues.

>wetsuit material is weak to water

Can't you clean these with an alcohol wipe? I use a toothpick because I'm stupid, but I'm curious if it's that easy.

It will eventually wear out the rubber or plastic/paint.

>thats bad for ur mousepad bro
Did "ur mousepad bro" tell you that?

i can never get the scuffs out out of a pad no matter what sort of soaps and hot water i try, i just end up buying a new one every 2 years or so.

it's his excuse for it to be smelling like shit.

Trackball so no mousepad, but I need to remove the ball weekly and remove the hand gunk stuck in the bearings.

no you cant. lmao

This is why you don't get the crappy logitech shit. My trackball doesn't use little ruby cuck balls, it has real bearings so I only need to open it up and clean it out once or twice a year. Have to give the outside a rubdown every few months because of general finger grime, though.

Sensor isn't as precise on wood.

>Fuck them for putting a gorrilion tiny ridges and divets in the mice.
*sips*
the secret is you you remove the rubber feet and that's where the screws are. use a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the feet so they peel away while also retaining the original adhesive to put back on later. if you fuck up you can find feet on amazon, ebay, etc. for like 3-5 bucks. unscrew everything and the housing comes apart, depending on mouse model you might have undo more screws (and may possibly need a torx screwdriver) to remove the electronic bits and get at the mouse buttons. you can now thoroughly clean your mouse inside and out and everywhere in between thoroughly and enjoy the look and feel of having a new mouse for half an hour of your time.

I only use based japanese mousing polyester surfaces woven by virgin artisans that fold the threads over 9000 times in the traditional amundsen-ken weave that was specially designed for optical sensor tracking over 3000 years ago.
It doesn't require lubrication or cleaning.

Tell her to stop being such a retard.

>mouse pad
>mouses no longer use tracking ball
Why own a mouse pad?!? This isn't the late 90's, early 00's.

Yeah, it's painted wood and I don't really see the point of a mousepad
