This is the only passable Cthulhu game.

Call of Cthulu starts decent (for what it is) but the latter 2/3rds of the game they clearly ran out of ideas or money. They sorta lose the plot and there are bizarre sections with weird gameplay like a teleporter maze in a hallucinated hospital and a "shooter" segment which is hard to describe just how shitty it is.

I enjoyed The Sinking City but how much you enjoy it will probably hinge on your tolerance for or appreciation of Eurojank, particularly French Eurojank which has its own peculiar characteristics. It's also something of a curiosity given the controversy surrounding its release and the relationship between the devs & publisher. Something I kinda adore about it is how weird the setting is without anyone really acknowledging how weird everything that's going on is. It has a unique atmosphere in games in that it doesn't try to hit you over the head with creepy stuff, it just puts it out there and makes you wonder why nobody else finds it weird.

Even then it's not that great. If you play it I highly recommend boosting your movement speed slightly. If I recall correctly it's easily done in the ini files. The base movement speed is tediously slow and the general gameplay is poor enough that you're not really ruining anything by giving yourself a speed advantage.

Don't Starve, the game that filtered Any Forums and more

I said passable but at least it had actual gameplay instead of the two walking sims he wanted to play.

That one boss in WoW where the mechanic is that you can't face it directly or else you get a debuff which kills you if it stacks too many times, pretty clever. It was during Wotlk.

Sinking City has as much combat as Dark Corners.

The game is unpopular solely because it filters so many fucking people.
