>Tekken 7 had you pay for a DLC character a month after launch if you didn't pre-order >Street Fighter V was literally an incomplete game that ended up having more DLC characters than base roster characters >Mortal Kombat 11 announced DLC plans before launch >The King of Fighters XV announced DLC plans before launch >All these games are charging full-price too
Why to fighing game players accept this garbage? Other genres don't get fucked over with DLC nearly this bad
I have this game, I don't even bother playing it due to how dead it is. The people hyped for Persona Arena don't know just how ironic they are.
William Robinson
This is another one of those zoomers pretend they played fighting games because they watch Max threads right?
Leo Long
If Max makes Zoomers spend money on based KOF, then I fully support what he does. Even though he doesn’t know anything about SNK games.
Brayden Smith
Every genre is cucked by (((post-launch support))).
Colton Foster
DLC was a mistake. Back in the day we got complete fighting games that had extra shit on top like hidden/cheat characters. Now you just get charged for content that should've been in at launch.
Ryder Ward
I'm all for DLC just as long as the base game feels complete. T7's story was like 2 hours and character ends were a huge downgrade from TT2, but it does have a lot of characters and character. SP content, but at least Online was still good. MK11 has a lot of content already in the game and even if you don't pay for the DLC, you get access to online towers, so I had no problem paying full price for it SF5 was a fucking mess of a game and I honestly can't believe they released it at full fucking price. I got it for 50% off and I still felt ripped off.
>Back in the day we got complete fighting games that had extra shit on top like hidden/cheat characters I don't know what days you are referring to, but I remember Capcom releasing SF2 five fucking times at full price for patch updates and more characters.
Ethan Turner
You only got a "complete" fighting game if you were playing bargain bin trash that only ever had one version. In reality you waited 3 years after the arcade version came out, and the home version was the second arcade revision without all the current arcade content. Then you finally got the "complete" version 3 years later at home because the next game came out in arcade. This isn't counting the one or two "complete" editions that came out inbetween. Shit, it took 10 years for a complete version of the original Melty to be released, same as Guilty Gear XX.
John Hill
Because fighting games were doing forms of DLC since SF2 Champion Edition.
Thomas Baker
Sometimes they do the opposite and have DLC a literal decade after launch
>Back in the day we got complete fighting games lmao, the current SP system is way better than buying 3 full priced versions of the same game
Jayden Rivera
Where the fuck is Umbrella for console?
Benjamin Barnes
this this >T7's story was like 2 hours kof story modes WISH they were two hours worth of content >but I remember Capcom releasing SF2 five fucking times at full price wroooooooong when talking about a single console
David Rogers
Fighting Games are niche as fuck. They need more support than ever before.
