Us gamers have defeated ancient dragons, explored beyond the vast reaches of space, and conquered nations. When someone asks "why don't you want to see France?", we know that the nation can be toured in multiple games. We are gamers, not because we have no life, but because we have many. Game on.

I am a human who happens to play videogames. I also work on cars, shoot the rooty tooties, make bonfires, play pool and darts, cook steaks, drink beer, etc.
Anybody who takes a single one of their hobbies as representative of their entire sense of self is pathetic.

Because the game industry wants to continually grow to improve share prices, and they have saturated the gamer market.

Now they want to appeal to super normies, that would be intimidated by being called a gamer.

These companies are not your friends, these developers aren't either. All they care about is the mass market, and they will dumb the games down more and more to appeal to them. They know you'll buy them regardless, because they buy up anyone that makes anything better and force them to make shit too.
