maybe i will get to them, but i started with the gamecube, so those were a gen too old and i never went back for them. ffvii i played because i used to go on gfaqs and it was heralded as the best of all time. i know chrono was up there too

All of them look dumb in the remake. Because they're trying to make them look more "realistic" while still keeping their very anime inspired armor/weapons/clothes. I mean, Cloud looks like a KPOP star who's walking around with a 500 pound sword. This doesn't matter in an anime setting. But this quazi realistic setting, everything looks off. Plus the uncanney valley CGI problem makes it even worse (especially Tifa).

I dislike it because of the change to CGI and quazi realism. Which I've been speaking out against since Spirits Within. There's plenty of modern games I think look fine. Including Trials of Mana remake and Dragon Quest XI.
