I just bought this

opinions?

Enjoying it so far. Reminds of Anno. But i'm not sure how long the fun will last. Did I fuck up or is it actually good?

its literally factorio in 3d, if you like autism simulators like that then youll enjoy it for a long ass time

I was going to get it in the sale but my backlog is too big so I'll wait for the next one

i like it and with mods it expands it quite well. as pointed out its very similar to factorio but in 3d and less dangerous from aliens. it focuses more on exploration and manufacturing. there is really no "end" to the game. the end comes from you wanting to quit.

Heavily dumbed down factorio remedied by the third dimension, exploration, and mods.

its a good train simulator too. it does train better than factorio.

bonus if you use linux, it runs extraordinarily well with proton. and the new engine update bringing native vulkan boosted performance massively.

developers are also based. they have a hidden penis in the game.

I did enjoy it for a good amount of time, but what's the point, really? building bigger so I can build bigger?
does this go anywhere or am I just supposed to enjoy streamlining my production and that's it?

factorio with more busywork

yeah it has no real "end" to it. you just keep going until you get bored. its kinda like minecraft or space engineers. mod support really expands it.

It’s great if you enjoy these types of games. Haven’t played Factorio myself but defensive mechanics in Satisfactory sounds like fun too.

That’s how I feel about shooters and adventure games now after years of playing those. There’s something refreshing about just designing shit that works well and looks nice.

It's ok, Satisfactory is good if you want to make nice looking factories and look at nice visuals, Factorio is better if you want to build huge logistic systems and kill the local ecosystem in the process

That's a petrified mushroom ya dingus.

It's good, despite early access.
THERE IS CURRENTLY NO END. DO NOT RUSH TO THE END.
Do not leave an inefficient factory running for 3 days to get the parts you need.
Enjoy the process because there's currently no destination.
Research foundations ASAP because building on them is tidy and easy to navigate.
Over-produce early, and you'll save some headaches later.

The world looks beautiful and invites exploration but exploring just for slugs is a bit boring
Hopefully the WIP ore and collectibles inject some vim into the exploration, but I heard a rumour that the Mercer Sphere is literally named after Matthew Mercer which is very cringe, even by Swedish standards

They know players like to customize their player models but want to force 100% female models and don't let on male model change mods.

Dropped off at 70% progress at nuclear power stage. Same as Factorio (started modded K2 and SE run). When you see the rest of the tech tree and nothing seems that worth it. Will wait a year for new updates and mods.
What mods are good outside of the QoL mods like SMART and modules?

Factorio is a lot more developed.

did they fix the stutter yet?

Well yeah, Factorio is a full game with DLC coming, Satisfactory is still early access

its got the balls below

For the most part yes. It was full on unplayable beforehand as a client but now it is mostly sorted but still with the occasional ghost foliage problem

Any mods i should use first time through or is vanilla perfectly fine? I've had this sitting in my library since November
