Is it worth playing?
Is it worth playing?
Nah. It's somehow worse than Bravely Second.
No.
I really did not like the demo.
Either of them.
>bosses counter like 90% of your actions
not worth it at all
Yes
I liked it a lot.
Be aware though that the game expects you to break the combat system to make progress. If you just casually rotate jobs and have a bad lineup, you're going to get your shit pushed in.
Yes, though I'm beginning to get the distinct impression I'm the only person on the planet who likes this series, despite the fact I only heard of it from people raving about it on here
I liked BD and BS but got bored of BDII about 8 hours in. I definitely preferred the old art direction, but I don't think that's what ruined it for me.
Wait do you think ruined it for you?
I put 15 hours into it before concluding that it really isn't worth my time.
Its nowhere near as good as Bravely default
This is only the second worst part of the game. The worst thing is that Seth is the "nameless protagonist" and is never referred to by anything other than "Sailor Boy", and this only occurs once. Every character except the main character is a character.
Yup and it's not even interesting, just retarded.
>Boss counters ANY spellcasting with a sleep spell
>if you don't have sleep immunity equipped on your healer you are literally just fucked and can start over
I enjoyed it but its definitely the worst of the bravely series.
Fuck no OP.
It's just a giant and boring grind. Some jobs are fun to play, especially paired up with the abilities from other jobs. But like I said, one giant grind. Bravebearer is fun to play because you can fuck with the enemies BP.
Another problem: There are like what? 10 different enemy types with different colours.
Hell no.
>Everything looks plastic.
>The new artist cannot carry the previous one'a legacy.
>The fucking retarded new battle system makes fighting slower.
>series
Anons mostly love Bravely Default, Second is 50/50 and hate Bravely 2
And I hope nobody is deranged enough to bother with the gacha
bosses are also super sponges. the game is fun until you reach a boss
>no turn order
what the actual fuck
I don't hate it. I like how speedy characters also recover BP faster.
yes. anyone who complains about the battle system is just trying to use the same job formation for everything and completely miss the point of the job system
when this game dropped it was magical. i would set my ship to sail and put my switch to sleep and look forward to reaping my rewards for the next day.
fast forward barely a year later and i lost interest. i'll get back to it eventually, it just started great but didn't do much to keep me interested. it didnt help that boss fights are separate experiences from the main game, as in they are super health sponges and counter everything you throw at them
except for the fact that bosses clearly want you to use very specific jobs to make the fights trivial which makes the system fucking boring
It's my biggest gripe, BD and BS were both relatively difficult jrpgs despite having a turn order. I don't understand why they'd remove it. I can still plan ahead kind of but it's way less accurate, especially since every single fucking boss comes with friends. They can clearly make fights still hard without having to rely on "well maybe my character will move next hopefully" so why the fuck would they get rid of it
>bosses have their own specialties and tactics
>your formation and tactics happen to be countered by them
>YOU DUMB FUCKING BULLSHIT GAME YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO GET IN MY WAY I NEED TO WIN THE FIRST TIME
afantasic people without imaginations that can't roleplay in a RPG
stop talking like a fifth grader, its fucking embarassing
says the little timmy who can't win in a jrpg without grinding to nullify anything resembling a challenge
Embarrassing
Not only was BD2 less fun, it was also easier. BD1 required you to properly plan your actions, while BD2 is more loose about it to compensate for the ATG
I don't think I died to any BD2 boss more than once on hard - except one of the multi-boss fights (the one with Adam) for which I was severely underleveled. Meanwhile BD1 kicked my ass before I adjusted my strategy
