Why

the remake also fucked up the sound design

hmm lets add random clutter to make the environment billion times more busy and more irritating to navigate. yeah lets add these unreachable platforms too so players learn that places you see arent necessary related to anything in particular.

Right looks better.

right looks vastly better

what game

right looks like an assassins creed bandit camp entrance. it doesn't look realistic at all, and it barely reaches a level of greater photo realism outside of low poly and low res mountain textures on the left

right side looks pretty good.
left looks plain and boring. why does it look so clean? lol

Right looks better

Right looks worse

Why aren't we allowed to like both designs? I own both and love what each one offers

Almost everything but anything resembling human faces looks better in the remake.

bluepoint cant model human faces whatsoever and you see it in the humanoid monsters (the fat bastards) and the npcs.

right legit looks like what a computer algorithm would come up with

Post more pics to compare

what were you trying to say with this image?

you again
didnt you get clowned hard enough when some actual architectural expert explained you're full of shit

I can understand why people are upset they fucked with the original vision, the original vision is still fucking boring and clearly the result of the game having a small budget and being tied to fucky ps3 hardware. The right looks way cooler and more visually interesting and is ultimately more consistent with souls and bloodbornes design.

DeS is still the best souls btw.

right looks better, you have to be deep in nostalgia to think otherwise

>muh realism
fucking kys

This really just assumes an awful lot by just saying that From always intended it to look more elaborate but they didn't have enough assets. Makes no sense when they've made stuff like Anor Londo and Drangleic on the same hardware. Plus your "argument" is based solely on the castle, now post Flamelurker and Tower Knight.

Modern game devs think good visual design is adding as much clutter as possible.

I think he was trying to say that a castle that is being preserved for historical purposes is somehow indicative of what a lived in and operation medieval castle would look like.

>retard can't comprehend words and context
Like pottery

don't care if its realistic it's about the impression it creates (or the lack of impression created by the new version)
