Not really. I played in a no-banlist tourney 2 years ago and iirc True Draco with Royal Oppression won it with some Dragon Link wombocombo coming in second.
Exodia and FTK decks went out surprisingly quickly since you can disrupt just so much shit by now they get barley to play if you let everything in.

Nice to be back in gold. Got a good haul of fun duels today. Gave a Deck Out to a guy I'm pretty sure didn't know you could lose from not being able to draw and gave a numeron player blueballs with his surprise double up synchros.

I've literally never played Maxx C or Ash Blossom even once. Got a holo of Maxx C and put it in but it never came out to play while I had it in there. Don't run any of the staples every metafag seems to be packing either.
