Im more interested in the xcom clone with Grey Knights releasing soon.

I think Eldar are really cool.
I'm not super keen on how they look like humans/elves, but I like their fictional culture as a vague blend of ancient human societies, as well as their racial character and role in the setting.
I think I'm checking out of 40k for good, it's turning into WoW lore or maybe was always WoW tier but I was just too young to notice. But I will always like Eldar.

No, the fact is that GW employs different artists with different art styles and the further away from official armybooks the art is, the least shit GW gives and the more normal the Eldar will look, as seen with the games.
We are both cherrypicking art for the sake of an argument, but I can drop pretending and acknowledge that there are different artist interpretations while you will forever be brainwashed by fanart and shitty memes.

There really is some cool shit with the Eldar. They take the role of space elves and in fact are probably the best interpretation of this as a fantasy/scifi race with enough elf-like qualities and the usual tropes sprinkled over a scifi-setting.
