Villain is evil because... he's from the south

>'the Barker were nice people and did nothing wrong, they were just normal people before E001 brainwashed them into evil to capture test subjects'
>Lucas locked up and killed a friend in his bedroom attic as a kid before Evie was even conceived

It was a nice addition to have a character who wasn’t infected and yet was more monstrous than the others. Adds to the story.

bad seed

He did that shit because he's mentally ill it's not a big slander against the backwoods hillbilly states

>this is the average middle class single income home in the south

it casts shadow on the rest of family if they buried that shit though

He wasn't?

He was infected but he was immune to Evies mind control. Whats confusing is how Evie never realizes this

They didn't know. In his journal he talked about changing the lock on the attic so that Zoe wouldn't be able to go in there.

Even in the DLC where you can see the house before shit hit the fan it was still creepy as fuck.

Dumb fan theory. He even argues with hallucinations of her at points and it makes sense that she'd want him researching the mold as a weapon to increase her "family" count. Lucas just thought he was playing her, but was mistaken

>game takes place in the south
>villain is southern

Hm maybe, been a while

He’s infected, he can’t avoid it, but the documents you find in the Umbrella lab show that one exchange for his surveillance and such they provide him with antidote that he takes daily/weekly/whatever to not develop symptoms

Thats not a fan theory. He is given a serum by not-umbrella

white people generational wealth

>villain is evil because he's american
That's more like it.

Yes thank you. It’s like nobody even played the game that’s such a big plot point at the end. It’s also brought up AGAIN in the Not A Hero dlc. Lucas infects himself again/runs out of serum and mutates at the end

White people ingenuity
they probably built it up over the years.

I really wish the game would have expanded Lucas's role in the main story instead of relegating him to the Chris dlc and axed a bit of the boring ship exposition/mines final push. Also 21 was kino.

The whole family should've been just psycho retards like him and not le evil little girl mind control trash.
