Regardless of what shape its userbase mold it into, its core makes me stay. I don't want to go make an account to sites just to discuss trivialities, I don't want to have to face an inherent hierarchy based on post history, the conditioning this site does on its userbase, myself included, is already bad enough as is, but way worse everywhere else.
It also has nice, nicher boards with some neat subjects I like to discuss & people that really know what they're into, with little prospect other than share what they like.
