that's just your average online slayer. i don't see anything special here, and i don't recall seeing his name in any tournaments. he's intermediate level at best. but yes that is how it goes when you play a game that takes real skill, you get filtered or you push through it and get good after many months of dedication. the payoff is worth it because these games, while more difficult than any other genre, are more rewarding and fun than any other genre once you pass through the trials of being a beginner you start to have fun on levels you didn't think were possible.

they aren't for everyone. most people want reward with little to no effort. i would recommend SFV or Strive to those people, but even those will require some dedication still to get over the beginner hurdle.
playing fighting games is a lifestyle. the growth as a player alone is worth it (and never ending).
