>devs include memes in their game
Devs include memes in their game
>NPC names are references to patrion or kickstarter backers
>devs have a dicord page
>game's plot is a thinly veiled metaphor for real life politics
Name one (1) game.
Chess. Now what?
>offical translation changes the content of the dialog
This was one of the major downsides of Guacamelee, it's like it was written by Reddit, and I'm not being dramatic
>NPC's design was a backer reward
>devs include franchise specific memes in their game
>Dev's include "difficulty" in their game
death stranding
>dev puts a youtuber in their game
>"We make games for the gamer"
>Devs don't include memes in their game but the translators put them in anyway
>devs make a game
undertale
>On top of the lameness of that, the meme was already dead when they started working on the game four years ago.
Guacamelee! had memes all over the game
but they worked them into the game pretty well, making them wrestling match posters which was kinda cool
This happens to TV shows that reference memes, yeah
by the time the episode already airs, the meme is old and dead and people have moved on, so it just comes off as a "how do you do fellow kids" moment
>game has an art museum with pieces the devs used as inspiration for the world
>there is a painted portrait gallery of kickstarters
>buy game
>it goes on sale immediately after
>game includes a harlem shake reference
that's probably the most poorly aged memes of all time
TAKE ME BACK
Deep rock
It can be based.
>devs thank streamers for playing the game at the end of the credits
Cringe, but very creative cringe which makes it based
>joking about pedophilia
Umm, that’s a yikes
pedro knows. in chile a slut is called maraca.
Deus Ex Human Revolution had plenty of memes and a guy with a Any Forums hat is a prominent NPC.
Guacamelee was literally nothing but bad memes because that game fucking sucked.
Borderlands 2 had some, never played 3, but it probably did too.
You start to get an idea though of which type of game puts memes in their game. Bad ones.
based + cringe = bringe
