Game requires 1000 hours to get good at

just draw

i finished it in a month

Post your work

is this the not video games but instead is the drawing and music general?

I kinda regret wasting 1000 hours on EU4 instead of drawing. Now I live off comms but I could've stopped being a wagie some years earlier.

took me like 6 months of on and off practice and resources

What should I practice right now bros? Slowly I think I'm getting more consistent, but I still struggle actually finishing a work properly, and works that are too complex also kinda wall me.

How do i learn to draw? Seems like the perfect hobby

you know what? you need commitment, take requests or find a drawfriend to share wips with and ask for help.

What tablet should I get if I decide to get into digital later on?

If I'm not good at it right away, then I give up.

>Game requires 1000 hours to git gud at
>It's fun the entire way through
Why are fighting games so good bros?

>old game so no in game tutorials, seemingly poorly explained
>open up the pdf manual
>Full tutorial and detailed explanation on everything
And now you enjoy

Honestly I got the Wacom One, despite being pretty horrible at the time. I felt like having a display was important, and I ended up needing a second monitor anyway. I think there are probably cheaper alternatives, but I knew this one was meant to be quality and would last for years.

this but completely unironically

If you're tight on money a used intuos 4/5 or a chink "pro" tablet, always the largest available.
I have a deco pro and I will buy a screen tablet when the chinks release a good one.

Bitching about loomis or half the "beginner tutorials" out there has more to do with them being touted such, but actually being aimed towards teens that spent hundreds or thousands of hours drawing as a kid

>If you miss a day of grinding, your skills are halved
>Some tutorials can be detrimental which you won't know until long after the tutorial has taken root in your mind
>Digital brush DRM
>Your social media will always be overshadowed by fat fetishists drawing the exact same model 20 times a day
>End game is so varied no guide can help you
>Studying and not making shit is boring. Making shit without having studied is shit.

Hard fixed cope. I could barely draw a circle, but had no issues following along loomis.

Just a sketch. I have a raging hard on for pixel brushes, it quenches my line autism

nice style, but clean up the messy lines and coloring ffs imagine being the girl in youe image and knowing that you will never look perfect because your creator was too lazy to bother giving you the attention you deserve

Cute. Reminds me of Pixels art. How long have you been drawing

I'm the guy above who mentions he has trouble really finishing what he's started. I don't think I really tried at all to clean up the linework or proportions after my first run, I just jumped into coloring. It's almost like an excuse to not work harder at the base, by "completing" it with color.

Thanks! Not long to be honest

>took me like 6 months
>already better than me and ive been drawing my whole life
sad

>spend entire drawing session nitpicking one sketch
>grind studies but don't apply them
>jump between courses and never finish one
>just doodle without a plan in mind
>can't copy for shit but don't practice accuracy/measurement
>pick up pencil for few minutes, get distracted for longer, pick back up, repeat
>refuse to leave comfort zone
>extremely low motivation in general
There, I just described all my flaws and why I'm NGMI.
