RE2 remake was universally praised, all they removed was some stupid giant moth enemy you barely see that would just look out of place in the remake. RE3 remake had a mixed response, but that game was never beloved in the first place. They will not remove anything significant in the RE4 remake, and Capcom is aware of how much people like the campiness in 4.
