It's still capitalism if one corporation controls the entire market.

They do, they just aren't enforced unless Congress or the Justice Department think it's a danger to the country. So when railroad or telephone companies get too big, the government steps in. But video games they don't care about. That's like complaining about Hasbro getting too big.

if you pay the guberment to look the other way they will

The laws are to prevent monopolies that harm consumers from forming. To form an antitrust lawsuit against a merger you'd have to make a compelling argument that it will substantially harm consumers in the long run. Typically this is done by showing how available choices will become meaningless for consumers, or how it will negatively impact competition in the industry, which also harms consumers by eliminating the need to innovate.

They have laws to censor cleavage and they no longer allow Opening songs to last longer than 30 seconds on American TV so they can use more of the airtime for ads.

Why haven't they been stopped Amazon yet then? They're having a monopoly on everything.

Money talks

Laws are for poor people

America still has internet infastructure that hasn't changed since the 90s. They've been given money to change that but Telecom companies pocketed it.

What makes you think they care about the Mouse or their on a leash subordinate Microsoft from doing what they want?

>why haven't they stopped Amazon

Because they get all of their stuff from Amazon.

They just keep the companies separate, as long as its no one big single company its not considered a problem. I guess 500 companies owned by 1 company is more micro-autonomous or something like that.

Wal-mart still exists, same with other various stores.

Yes, but It's a vain effort as these companies will eventually merge back together like AT&T from Bell Systems (Ma Bell).

Yes, and sometimes they actually do work. But sometimes, the money talks.

They do but companies can just pay off the regulatory bodies if needed. The US is owned by all the major companies and just does whatever those companies want. Sometimes, they pretend to care about the people living in the US by saying they will do something for them and that is it.

There shouldn't be. The market should always be free.

The company that needs a good hard look and action is google, everyone else is small beans by comparison.

Is a market free once a single entity controls all of it?
