This is moment we all realized we were in deep for the long haul
>goes somewhere, nothing there
>hey npc you're cool
>nope nothing to do right now
>oh wow enemies
>they drop nothing of value
>walk around another 20 minutes
>accomplish literally nothing
>realize you were scammed out of 60 dollars
Yeah, shame about the rest of the game.
I haven't finished it, I don't know how to get to the mountain city without burning my ass but I like it, the empty open spaces are unnecesary in my opinion
yeah because its the beginning of the game you fucking tard
this
It's a shitty empty tech demo. The map is way too big and should've been condensed down into a smaller size.
get yourself a horse right away bro
BoTW and MGSV have unironically made me worried for Elden Ring.
>Great Plateau is by far and away the best crafted area in BoTW, only thing that comes close is Eventide Island and that's purely because it's like the Great Plateau
>Ground Zeroes is the best section of MGSV
I played the Network test for Elden Ring but apart of me feels like it's gonna be MGSV/BOTW all over again where the starting area is 10/10 and the rest is mediocre.
Same shit happened with DS1 too
this is the moment I realised this game was a letdown
If BOTW2 doesn't have more Hyrule Castle tier interiors, it's gonna be such a letdown. The fact that there weren't any fucking caves and the only "ruins" were some out in the open Zonai ruin or the Hylian Temple area pissed me off.
cease being not the target audience then, shitter
for me, it was the first divine beast I encountered
it took me hours to reach it, and I was excited for a nice meaty dungeon
about 20 to 30 minutes later the boss was dead
and so was the Zelda series
Elden Ring is just BOTW + Souls which by default is better than BOTW. But I think it looks pretty ugly which is a negative.
It isn't garbage like MGSV.
Is that what I need to do to get up the mountain?
>Elden Ring is just BOTW
What does it have in common with BoTW? You do know BOTW didn't invent basic open worlds right?
>no climbing
>no puzzles
>completely different aesthetic/atmosphere
You need armor from the town
The breadcrumb exploration design, same as Genshin Impact. Where you can just play for days on end walking towards points of interest you scope out, without every worrying about quests and shit or looking at your mini-map. And the game does have puzzles and the horse can climb.
>The breadcrumb exploration design
Explain how Gothic/Morrowind or even Minecraft didn't do this decades prior.
>Where you can just play for days on end walking towards points of interest you scope out,
Pretty much every open world game devoid of forced waypoints has this.
Minecraft literally had this
>And the game does have puzzles and the horse can climb.
Basic jump mechanic =/= Climb system
And there is not a single puzzle in Elden Ring. Post a source of the puzzle it had.
BOTW unironically got good for me once I had completed like 60 shrines. People say the map is empty but there is always something if you just walk around for a couple minutes, or just check the map and look at areas that sound interesting. It's pretty easy to come across a cool shrine quest or something.
I'm not going to bother replying seriously to you, you're acting too autistic.
kek fpbp
It's just that people didn't find korok seeds very interesting and most shrines were a waste of time.
I think Nintendo is waiting for Elden Ring to come out so they can copy more ideas from Fromsoft before actually releasing BOTW2.
>schizo tendy who thinks BoTW invented open world without waypoints
>calling anyone autistic
>most shrines were a waste of time
They're not really that different from the puzzles in other Zelda games, so that complaint always felt weird to me. Personally I found the Shrine Quests were cooler than the shrines themselves. Stuff like the Thunder Plateau, or the dark forest, or shooting the dragon and eventind island, kass quests, etc.
I lit it up for the first time this morning... did a few things, but was mostly just sort of walking around, picking up apples, killing zoblins or whatever the fuck they are. Did a few dungeons for the old man, and the game literally out me to sleep. Not for me.
