This place is a disaster. Sorry OP. What this means for SEGA going forward I don't know, but seeing how they've gotten to this point is sad. Especially since I've been a fan of them since the 90s (even though most of the talent I affiliate with SEGA is mostly gone or put in roles where they don't influence much?
who the fuck goes outside
this is old news and was posted three thousand times already retard
Really? Still mad at Nintendo hasn't released arcade in 90s.
>Updated two days ago
For people who come to this board every day of the week and spend more than half of their day here, sure. For everyone else, last Friday (two days ago from today) is not "old news".
Have sex
Sega is literally a walking corpse.
have grass
I'm glad I got to see and experience their arcades in Japan. It's sad. I hope arcade culture doesn't go away over there. We need to euthanize all zoomers and start over.
>quits
They're still going to make/support arcade games, but corona fucked over their profits, so they decided it would be best to let someone else manage this shit.
>sega pulls out of arcade business
so what's next for them, pachislot and pachinko dens?
Only chigyu go to arcades.
so do they just not own arcades anymore?
or are they also not making arcade games anymore?
Sad.
Zoomers don't know what we lost today, but then again that had been lost for years...
Too bad I'll never get to see a Sega arcade in person but I may never get to visit Japan for all I know.
there's no reason to go to arcades nowadays. nip arcade games may be really fun but since they're tied to services they'll eventually be lost to time so it's best not to get attached in the first place. also consider that $2 per credit for a game that lasts 8~10 minutes is highway robbery
>$2
To think that I used to think 50 cents was too rich for my poorfag blood.
The services just store your scores, hardly a big deal. Popular ones will remain for a long time, unpopular ones shut down so fast you won't even have time to start caring.
And they won't be lost to time when anyone can download rips even of failed arcade games right now. Good luck getting a proper controller for each of them though.
Dude... the thousands I spent on the KanColle arcade game...
What I would give for a Sega Arcade MEGA Collection.
What I would give for M2 to portSega lightgun games to the Switch...
>want to play dragon ball zenkai battle
>game relies on online matchmaking and/or LAN multiplayer between different machines
good luck emulating that.
