why did they pad the game out with the b route?
genuinely brings the game down from 8.5/10 to a 7/10

They could've done a better job at not making you play the entire story from scratch in b route and just streamlined most of it to segments where you play as 9S without the open world garbage and sidequests.

If you think N:A is anything less than a 9 your opinion is shit and irrelevant.

The gameplay repetition was annoying but if you don't see the story/character value from it why even play the rest of the game? 9S finding out the truth and that whole ending segment with Eve are also some of the best parts of the game imo. Really drives home the stuff they reveal in the final ending, it would be way less impactful without b.

They give you hacking in route b which acts as a soft skip button for every combat encounter in the game, the point of route b is to provide new insights and drill the hacking tunes into your brain so ending E hits harder, that version of weight of the world would not be nearly as powerful without the preceding tedium you had to suffer through to get there

And I thought replaying from the 2/3rds mark in the first game was asking a lot. It's insulting.

How the fuck do you take 20 hours on route b lmao. I did every side quest and it was like 7-8 hours. If you actually hate it you can easily blast through main story in 5-6. Won't deny that it was the weakest route for gameplay, I just liked it for the lore and shit. Makes sense that most people get bored with it though.

Because Taro was told to make an RPG so he had to pad the fuck out of it. There was no reason for it to be open world or have all those side quests if we were just talking about it as an art piece, but it had to be a video game before being a work of art. Which does suck.
