144hz is enough

You hit dimishing returns after 120 Hz
Just like it's utterly pointless to make 4k 27" displays.

no

Can you even reach 500fps on AAA shit though

lolno, even CSGO peaks at like 400fps for me at 1280x1024 with a 5600x/3080

perfect for epic 9 hour minecraft sessions

According to the experts, 144hz is a sweet spot.

yeah, about 3000hz is where it becomes closer to reality
actual frame rate doesn't have to be that high though, it's purely about picture representation quality

How would you know? Have you tried 500hz? Human eyes can see up to 1000fps. It becomes harder and harder to see the difference but if an object appears for a single frame out of a thousand frames the human eye is capable of noticing it. The upper limit might even be higher

>400fps
>5600x
don't go with ayyyymd next time

I upgraded from a 4690k though

I have a 144Hz monitor and tried 100-144 Hz. Can't tell them apart.

what resolution?
don't tell me that you also think that 4K is pointless also.

That'll be $10,000 + tip
>pc tards will eat it up

that's 40 fps

it's closer to 48-50 Hz

The reality is that higher refresh rates AND resolution will always be a good thing. All the shit talking is just poorfag cope. However there's definitely a point where you won't notice a difference anymore

4K is pointless for the usual desktop setup because you're so close to a monitor that going beyond 30" is too much for a lot of vidya

Still inferior to CRT's

eyes don't see in frames per second, it's a pointless comparison and your claim is faulty

As someone with a 4K 27" monitor for console gaming, I beg to differ.
