It was glorified DLC that they sold for just slighlty less than a full price game. It's good if you liked the original game but don't spend a lot of money on it because it's only a fraction of the size and reuses a lot of the same content.

miles morales is unironically a better game than spider-man ps4, the winter atmosphere is waaay better, the combat is easier but way more enjoyable because you don't get to the point of fighting mobs of armored super soldiers that take 20 hits to beat each, and swinging is just much much much much better overall
it's a step up

The venom powers were cool and I really liked the fact that there's less gadgets. It would be easy to look at that and think they just cynically removed content from the game but Spidey had way too many gadgets in the first one and some of them were just out of character like the suspension matrix and the concussive blast (as fun as it is to yeet enemies off rooftops with it). If you played the game at the highest difficulty it really made you rely on them too. Can't say I agree about the web swinging though, felt the same to me.

I'm baffled that they made Silk and Peter 120% destined soulmates. At least she's hot.

I thought they advertised Miles Morales as a bundled standalone with Spider-Man Remastered as a PS5 exclusive so I had no interest until I walked by a physical copy for PS4 at Best Buy.
